Washington State cruises past UW in conference opening sweep

PULLMAN, Wash. — Julia Norville had a match-high three service aces while Iman Isanovic (13k) and Pia Timmer (10k) led Washington State volleyball (11-1, 1-0 Pac-12) offensively in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-15) win over Apple Cup rival Washington (9-3, 0-1 Pac-12) Thursday night.  Washington State hit .385 as a team while UW suffered from 15 attack errors, three set errors, and nine serving errors in front of another rowdy Bohler Gym crowd, taking just 1 hour and 25 minutes to finish off a second consecutive home sweep over the Huskies.
