NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack College women’s volleyball team lost a Northeast Conference (NEC) matchup on Saturday afternoon against Saint Francis (PA) University.

● The Warriors were able to gain points from three errors caused by the Red Flash. The Red Flash would then go onto a six-point lead which would be broken up by an error, leading to another run that would bring the Red Flash’s lead to eleven. It was stopped with kills by Julz Carlat and Hannah Webber each getting one. Sydney Green had two kills later on in the set looking to get the Warriors back on track to try to win the first set. The Red Flash would win the set 25-9.
● The Warriors started the game off competitively with a kill from Carlat to keep the score tied at one. The Red Flash would then take a six point lead which would be broken up with a kill by Green. The Warriors battled back and were down by two points. The Red Flash would push their lead up to four but ended with a kill by Cate Wright. The Warriors did their best to keep themselves in the set but they were downed 25-14 to push the match lead to 2-0.
● The Warriors jumped to an early two point lead going into the third set with a kill from Carlat to start it off. The Warriors were able to push their lead up to three until the Red Flash battled back to take the lead 7-6 until the Warriors tied it up with a kill by Webber….
