MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Michael’s College women’s volleyball team returned to action for the first time in 10 days with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-17) loss against Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday evening during Northeast-10 Conference play in Spirou Field House.

THE ACTION
- The Penmen notched five kills en route to taking a 6-0 lead in the opening set, ultimately leading 13-3 and never again leading by fewer than six points.
- Stanton and Syverson registered back-to-back kills to bring Saint Michael’s within 12-5 in set No. 2, but the Penmen netted the next four points to go ahead by double digits for good.
- Welch’s kill had the Purple Knights down just 5-3 in the third set, but the hosts slowly pulled away with 12 of the next 16 points to forge a double-digit lead. Patterson’s ace brought the Purple and Gold within 20-14, but the visitors came no closer.
