Women’s Volleyball Falls to Fairleigh Dickinson, Friday

NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack College women’s volleyball team lost a Northeast Conference (NEC) matchup on Friday night against Fairleigh Dickinson University

Rapid Recap

  • The Warriors started out with a two point lead with a kill lead by Avery Brown. Both teams traded a one point lead in the first set. Julz Carlat had seven kills, looking to take over for the Warriors. Merrimack would lose the set 25-10.
  • The Warriors jumped to an early two point lead going into the second set, with the Knights trading the lead with them again early on in the game. The Knights would then go onto a five-point lead which would be broken up by two kills from Carlat and Cate Wright each getting one. Sydney Green had three kills later on in the set looking to get the Warriors back on track to try to win the second set. The Knights would win the set 25-15
  • The Knights jumped into a seven point lead heading into the third set. Maalese Wallace broke up the lead with a kill followed by an ace from Ashley Gajdzik. The Warriors had the lead towards the end of the set until the Knights held on strong to win the set 25-21.

Top Performers // Notes

  • Carlat led the way with 15 kills in the loss
  • Hannah Webber had three blocks
  • Mia Ardila had 13 assists.
