NORTH ANDOVER, MA– The Merrimack College women’s volleyball team capped off Senior
Day with an impressive four-set victory over conference rival Siena College on Saturday.

How It Happened
The Warriors jumped out to an early 10-4 lead. The Saints answered with five straight points to
make it a one score game. Siena took a two-point lead following the media timeout but the
Warriors delivered four kills to pull away 22-18. A successful 3-1 run for the Warriors would put
them over Siena, 25-21. In the second set, the Saints were first to catch a breakaway, going up
10-3. The Warriors continued to battle, scoring five straight points followed by a powerful 5-1 run
to narrow the margin to two points. The Saints notched three consecutive service aces to earn a
23-17 advantage. Looking to stop the Saints in their tracks, the Warriors delivered three more
kills however, this wasn’t enough as Siena would win the second set, 25-21.
The Warriors controlled the third set by scoring five straight points, creating friction for the
Saints. Merrimack continued to dominate, capitalizing off the Saints attack errors to extend a 13-
6 lead. The Warriors held a seven-point advantage through the majority of the set and would go
on to win 25-18. The fourth and final set of the match began with both teams neck and neck
until the Warriors ignited a 5-2 run to go up 16-12. The Saints responded with four consecutive
