Women’s Volleyball Stymied by Rider

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack College Women’s Volleyball team was thrown off by MAAC Conference foe, the Rider University Broncs.

How It Happened
The first set began neck and neck with both teams trading points until the Broncs were able to pull away late. Rider would win the first set 25-15 and would continue to dominate the competition, capturing the second set victory, 25-11. The Warriors showed resilience in the third set, holding a narrow margin and pushing the Broncs to the brink in a tightly contested battle. Julz Carlat and Aubrey Baker would deliver two kills to keep the Warriors within striking distance. However, Rider would have a different agenda and would respond with four straight points to win the set 25-21.

The Warriors travel to Hamden, Connecticut on Wednesday October 2 to continue conference play against the Quinnipiac University Bobcats. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
