WorldofVolley :: Summary of the 2022 Volleyball Season

Volleyball is a very popular sport in the world and it is played as a varsity sport in every college.

A volleyball season runs round the year, allowing sports betting for fans and betters throughout the year.

There are different volleyball tournaments and championships organized in different regions of the country. Here are the highlights of some of the major tournaments that happened this year.

Highlights

Italy won the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Champions after 24 years of waiting, defeating defending champions Poland in the final.

Serbia won the FIVB Women’s World Championship, defeating Brazil in the final to retain their title.

Cuba won FIVB Men’s Challenger Cup, defeating Türkiye in the final after appearing in the tournament the third time.

Croatia won the FIVB Women’s Challenger Cup as the host country, defeating Belgium in the final.

France won the FIVB Sunday Men’s Volleyball Nations League, defeating USA in a spectacular five set final match.

Italy won the FIVB Sunday Women’s Volleyball Nations League, defeating USA in a clean swoop final match.

The FIVB Women’s Club World Championship is yet to start and will run its course between December 14th to 18th of December. Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul will host the tournament after returning to the tournament after a year’s absence.
