The Big Orange (15-1, 6-0 SEC) once again opened strong with a quick win in the first set and went on to control both the second and third frames to complete the sweep. With the first set victory, UT improved to 15-0 when winning the first set. The sweep marked the 12th sweep by the Lady Vols this season, and eighth in the last nine matches.

Graduate student right side Morgahn Fingall led the Big Orange with 17 kills while hitting .593 and six digs and two blocks, while junior outside hitter Erykah Lovett posted her fourth double-double of the season with 13 kills and 10 digs. During the second set, Tennessee trailed the Tigers 7-10 early but used a 9-1 rally to power a 25-17 victory. Fingall tallied six kills and had an impressive hitting percentage of .750 during the frame. Lovett was right behind her, earning five kills and hitting .444.
