The 32 participating teams in the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship will find out their opponents for the pool phase of next year’s competition in the Philippines on Saturday, September 14. The pools will be drawn at a ceremony to be held at the Solaire Hotel in Manila and streamed live and free of charge on VBTV and the Volleyball World YouTube channel with TV Cignal as the local broadcaster. The drawing of lots will start at 20:30 local time (12:30 UTC).
The teams – Algeria, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Cuba, Czechia, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Libya, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Tunisia, Türkiye, Ukraine and the United States – will be split into eight single round-robin pools of four for the first stage of the World Championship. Hosts Philippines will be seeded as leaders in Pool A, while the seven top ranked teams will head each of the remaining pools. The next 24 teams, based on their world ranking, will be drawn into positions 2, 3, and 4 within each pool.

Competition will be played across 17 days, where at the end of the pool phase, the eight pool winners and the eight pool runners-up will advance to the direct elimination Round of 16 and the remaining 16 teams will be eliminated from further participation in the championship. The Round of 16 will be followed by Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the medal matches.
