Cardinals Move to No. 2 in AVCA Coaches Poll


LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After a pair of signature wins over ranked opponents, the University of Louisville volleyball team has moved into the No. 2 spot in this week’s AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll.

The Cardinals received its first vote for the No. 1 spot this year.  UofL beat No. 9 Stanford (3-1) and No. 13 Kentucky (3-2) on the road last week. 

 

This is the highest spot since last year’s No. 1 ranking when the Cardinals put together an undefeated regular season at 28-0.  

 

The Cardinals are now 9-1 this season and 5-1 against ranked opponents heading into conference play. UofL begins the ACC on the road at Miami on Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET and Florida State on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. ET.
