COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team (5-5, 1-1 B1G) is on the road for a mid-week match at RV Michigan (11-1, 2-0 B1G). Wednesday’s match will be broadcast live on FS1, with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.

  • Ohio State continues to be ranked in the top-10 following the opening weekend of conference play, moving up one spot to sit at No. 6.
  • The Buckeyes opened Big Ten play with a sweep at Iowa (25-16, 25-8, 26-24) on Friday evening before losing a marathon five-setter at No. 3 Nebraska (22-25, 26-24, 25-19, 20-25, 13-15) on Saturday night.
  • Against the Huskers, senior libero Kylie Murr moved into third in program history in career digs as she now has 1,530 digs as a Buckeye.
  • Michigan enters the matchup on a five-match win streak with an 11-1 overall record and a perfect 2-0 in conference play.
  • The Wolverines opened Big Ten play with two sweeps on the road. Michigan beat Rutgers (25-15, 25-17, 25-11) on Friday evening before beating No. 9 Penn State (25-19, 25-17, 25-19) on Saturday evening to hand the Nittany Lions their first loss of the season.
  • Michigan’s lone loss of the season was in four sets (21-25, 26-24, 22-25, 19-25) at Duke on Sept. 9.
  • Ohio State leads 54-29 in the all-time series against Michigan. The Buckeyes also have a 17-15 edge when playing the Wolverines in Ann Arbor.
  • The Buckeyes own the last four meetings of the series with the Wolverines, earning sweeps in both matches last season – at home on Oct. 10, 2021 (25-22, 25-17, 25-15) and in Ann Arbor on Oct. 29, 2021 (33-31, 25-18, 25-17).
  • The Wolverines’ most recent win in the series came on Oct. 6, 2019 in Columbus when Michigan earned the sweep (20-25, 21-25, 19-25).
