West Point, Georgia– The Brenau volleyball team used a strong all-around performance to win a critical Appalachian Athletic Conference match over Point (Ga.) University 3-2 (25-22, 25-19, 25-22) on Tuesday.
Reigning NAIA Attacker of the Week Mary Ellen Enright posted a match-high 23 kills, while junior Chloe Bennett added nine kills .
Setter Gabrielle Hogle posted 42 assists and 10 digs and libero Julieanne Saliba led a solid defensive effort with 19 digs.
Enright increased her kills per set average to 4.82 on the year, which propelled her to the top spot in the NAIA national leaderboard. She is also second in total kills (492) and is only 11 kills behind current leader Kira Rymer from conference rival Columbia International (S.C.), despite playing in 12 less matches.
The Golden Tigers (14-15 overall, 11-9 AAC) now await seeding for the 2022 AAC Volleyball Championships in Kingsport, Tennessee from November 10-12.
