Durham, N.H. – Merrimack College women’s volleyball team lost to the University of New Hampshire on Wednesday night. Sophie Meyers led the Warriors in kills with seven.
The Basics:
Score: New Hampshire 3, Merrimack 0 (25-13 | 25-14 | 25-12)

Set Breakdown:
- The Wildcats jumped out to an early 5-3 lead in the first set. Later on, in the set Brooke Leestma finished a three-point Warrior run with a kill to make the score 11-8. New Hampshire then went on a four-point run of their own to go up by seven. Back-to-back kills by Meyers brought Merrimack within eight later on in the set.
- Like in the first set, the Wildcats jumped out to an early 6-2 lead. The Warriors answered with two straight points highlighted by a Leestma kill. Sydney Green had a kill later on in the second set. Kayla Zinser had a kill late in the set, but it was not enough as the Warriors lost set two.
- In set three Green had two early kills for Merrimack. Quinn Kellogg found the floor on a service ace to put the Warriors down nine. Avery Brown, Meyers, and Green had three straight kills to make the Wildcat lead nine.
Notes and Notables:
- Kellogg had 13 assists in the game.
- Lauryn Mattiucci led the team with 11 digs.
