Tournament Draws and Results

SEATTLE –

Two top Husky duos are set to fight for the first ever AVCA Pairs National Championship this weekend in Huntsville, Alabama. The NCAA expanded beach competition into the fall for the first time this year, focusing on pairs competition, and the National Championships are the new culmination for the fall season.

Representing the Huskies in the field of 64 pairs will be Chloe Loreen and Natalie Robinson, and Teagan DeFalco and Piper Monk-Heidrich. Loreen and Robinson, the No. 1 pair for the Huskies in the spring, are seeded No. 5 overall, while DeFalco and Monk-Heidrich, both new to the Dawgs this fall, are seeded 19th.

The tournament runs Friday through Sunday, with all teams playing on all three days regardless. Friday will be round robin pool play, as the field of 64 is split into 16 pools of four. Every pair will play three matches on Friday against their pool, and the results will be used to seed the bracket for Saturday.
