SEATTLE — The Huskies are in the homestretch, and the best place for that is at home. Washington (18-8, 10-6 Pac-12) plays three of its final four regular season matches at Alaska Airlines Arena, starting this week with visits from Colorado and Utah, both televised on Pac-12 Networks. The Dawgs are fighting to secure a potential 21st consecutive NCAA tournament bid with less than two weeks before Selection Sunday.

Friday’s 7 p.m. match against Colorado starts a run of four matches in eight days to close out the regular season. The Huskies then host Utah at 12 noon on Sunday, before closing out the home season next Wednesday against USC, and finishing on the road at Washington State on Friday, Nov. 25. The next three home matches will be the curtain call for UW’s incredible senior class of Shannon Crenshaw, Dani Cole, Claire Hoffman, Marin Grote, and Ella May Powell, as well as Sianna Houghton, who will graduate this spring.

Washington has gone 1-1 for five consecutive Pac-12 weeks, but got a boost when Emoni Bush returned to action in Sunday’s five set win at Arizona State. Bush was hitting .290 for the season as UW’s second-leading scorer when she sprained her ankle prior to the Oct. 28 match with Cal and she missed the next five matches.

Colorado is just one game behind the Huskies in the Pac-12 with a 9-7 mark. The Buffs had a heartbreaking five set home loss last week against No. 14 Oregon, then beat Oregon State in a sweep. Due to the pandemic and the unbalanced schedule, Colorado has not been to Seattle since 2019. CU is the top blocking team in Pac-12 play with 2.74 per set. They are hitting .245 as a team to rank seventh. Middle blocker Meegan Hart leads the Pac-12 with a .429 attack percentage and ranks fourth with 1.32 blocks per set. Against the Ducks, Lexi Hadrych had a big 22 kills. Maya Tabron leads the team overall with 3.19 kills per set in league play. The Huskies took a four set win in Boulder in the first meeting between the teams.
