Washington vs Costal Carolina 8:45 a.m. Pacific 

SEATTLE – No. 20 Washington Beach Volleyball starts their 2023 season on the road versus some tough opponents in Tallahassee, Florida. The Seminole Beach Bash takes place this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25-26, hosted by reigning national runner-up Florida State University. Also, senior Natalie Robinson will be heading into her season opener hoping for one more win to break the school wins record. Natalie is currently tied with Shayne McPherson at 67. 

Washington will play twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday. On Saturday, the Huskies start with FIU at 8 a.m. Pacific time, then take on FSU at 11:15 a.m. Pacific. The next day the Huskies meet South Carolina and Coastal Carolina at 6:15 a.m. Pacific Time and 8:45 a.m. Pacific. 

 

The FIU panthers finished up the 2022 season ranked No. 16.  The panthers are led by Conference USA Preseason All-Conference Team Picks Roberta Ribeiro and Giada Bianchi. This faceoff with feature Huskies Shannon Gormally and Kendal Mather who are recent transfers from FIU. 

The Huskies will then face the reigning National Runner-Up, the Florida State Seminoles, starts this season by upholding their No. 2 ranking. Notable mentions for the Seminoles are returner Maddie Anderson and Paige Kalkhoff both receiving CCSA Preseason All-Conference team.  

The Huskies will then face The University of South Carolina who ended the year last year at No. 19 and received the same preseason ranking to start the season. The Gamecocks also place two on the CCSA Preseason All-Conference, Simone Priebe and Kaeli Crews. 

 

Lastly, the Huskies will face Coastal Carolina to finish out the weekend. This will be the first meeting between the Huskies and all four of these schools.
