Booth, Franklin train with U.S. National Team

MADISON, Wis. – Two members of the Wisconsin volleyball team are training with U.S. National Team Head Coach Karch Kiraly and his staff at the Anaheim National Team Training Center this week. Sophomore Carther Booth and redshirt sophomore Sarah Franklin were selected to the 18-player training team.

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to work with this group of student-athletes for 2023 Spring Training Camp,” Kiraly said. “With the LA 2028 Olympic Games less than six years away, who knows? Some women from this group could be repping USA Volleyball!”

Booth is making her third appearance in a U.S. uniform after winning a gold medal with the 2019 Girls U18 National Team at the FIVB World Championships with Badger teammates Caroline Crawford and Devyn Robinson. The 6-foot-7 middle blocker also served as an alternate for the 2021 U.S. Under-20 World Championship team.

Franklin, a 6-foot-4 outside hitter, makes her first appearance with the U.S. National Training team.

After training for the week, the group will scrimmage on March 18.
