Off to Seattle for the Husky Invitational


EUGENE, Ore. – In their last tournament of the regular season, the Oregon beach volleyball team heads to Seattle for the Husky Invitational. The two-day competitions begins Saturday with round-robin play at Alki Beach where the Ducks will play Boise State, Portland and host Washington.

Based on results, the four teams will go into bracket play on Sunday with two semifinals beginning at 10 a.m. (PT). The third-place match will begin at 1 p.m. with the championship dual to follow at 2:20 p.m.
 
The Ducks will be looking to snap a four-match skid after last week’s Pac-12 North Invitational. Saturday will feature the Ducks’ fourth match of the season against Boise State and third against Washington, the No. 13 team in this week’s AVCA poll. Oregon (7-19) and Portland will play for the first time in 2023.
 
Ella Tyus and Bea Wetton continue to lead the team with 14 wins this season followed closely by the UO pair of Natasha George and Ashley Schroeder who have tallied 12 wins. Zoe Almanza and Chloe Brown are within striking distance of double figures with eight wins this season.
 
Following their weekend in Seattle, the Ducks return to their home courts Thursday, April 20 for Senior Day. The Ducks’ match against Portland is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Amazon Park. Click HERE for the full 2023 schedule.
