The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has recognized 278 SUNY Cortland student-athletes for a total of 283 awards on its 2022-23 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
Athletes earn a spot on the list by recording at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average. The 2022-23 school year is the seventh for the honor roll. Cortland’s 283 honors are its highest total since the honor roll began. Previous totals were 267 in 2021-22, 268 in 2020-21, 253 in 2019-20, 210 in 2018-19, 174 in 2017-18 and 166 in 2016-17.

Women’s Ice Hockey – 19
Women’s Volleyball – 16
Men’s Soccer – 15

Women’s Gymnastics – 11
Women’s Lacrosse – 11
Men’s Ice Hockey – 11

Women’s Tennis – 4
Five student-athletes earned awards in multiple sports (not including cross country/track and field, which are combined for the purpose of this list).Β All of Cortland’s sports are honored, even if they are not sports sponsored by the SUNYAC.
