2023 AVCA Week 4 poll: North Park in top 25 for first time

Burns promoted from assistant to head coach at Rockford

Unbeatens Juniata, Hope and Wisconsin-Oshkosh are still the top three teams in the AVCA Week 4 poll. No. 1 Juniata (11-0) received 84 of 86 first-place votes. No. 2 Hope (11-0) and No. 3 UW-Oshkosh (17-0) garnered one top vote apiece.

Other Region VIII/IX teams in the Week 4 top 25: No. 4 Northwestern; No. 8 Wisconsin-Whitewater; No. 13 Washington-St. Louis; No. 15 Transylvania; No. 16 Gustavus Adolphus; No. 17 Wisconsin-Stevens Point; No. 18 Mount St. Joseph; No. 22 North Park; No. 23 Cornell. North Park, which knocked off now-No. 7 Calvin last week, is in the top 25 for the first time in program history.

Region VIII/IX programs receiving votes this week: Wisconsin-Stout; Wisconsin-Platteville; Carthage; Coe.

My Week 4 top 10 had North Park and Ohio Wesleyan instead of the AVCA’s Calvin and Trinity (Texas).
