MATCH 21

Illinois volleyball returns to Huff Hall for a midweek clash against Big Ten foe Indiana on Wednesday. First serve on Big Ten Network is slated for 7 p.m. CT.

The 2023 campaign marks the 50th season of Illinois volleyball, with the Illini holding an overall record of 1,060-620-7 (.628). Chris Tamas enters his seventh season at the helm for the Orange and Blue, boasting a 125-77 (.619) mark.

LAST TIME OUT

The Fighting Illini went 2-0 last weekend, when the team defeated both Maryland and Rutgers in five sets. Jessica Nunge led the way against the Terps with 15 kills while hitting .308 in the match. Brooke Mosher posted a double-double with 36 assists and 17 digs. The setter also added five blocks and three aces. At RU, Raina Terry logged 21 kills for her 17th match with at least 20. The Ohio native also tallied 10 digs for her 16th career double-double. Nunge tied her career best with 17 kills against the Scarlet Knights.

ILLINOIS VS. THE FIELD

Illinois has the 74-19 edge over Indiana during the all-time series between the teams. However, recent matches have favored the Hoosiers, with IU taking the last two meetings between the programs. When playing at Huff Hall, Illinois is 38-5 all-time. With Chris Tamas at the helm, Illinois owns a 9-2 mark.
