No. 7 Ducks Host Utah, Colorado at MKA


EUGENE, Ore. – Now into the final month of the regular season, the No. 7 Oregon volleyball team hosts Utah and Colorado this weekend at Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks’ weekend begins Friday at 6 p.m. against the Utes. The match will also be the program’s 200th under head coach Matt Ulmer.

Series History vs Utah
Including their four-set win in Salt Lake City earlier this season (Oct. 8), the Ducks own a 19-10 advantage in the all-time series. Oregon has won the past three matches against Utah, all in four sets. The Ducks have also won seven of 10 played at Matthew Knight Arena.
 
Series History vs Colorado
Oregon swept Colorado in the first meeting this season (Oct. 6) to extend its series lead to 20-7. The Ducks have won eight of the past 10 matchups against the Buffaloes and are 10-4 on their home floor. Oregon is on a seven-match winning streak against Colorado.
 
In the Polls
The Ducks check in at No. 7 in the latest AVCA poll (Oct. 30) to match their ranking in the most recent RPI release. In the second NCAA Committee top-10 reveal, Oregon was up a spot to sixth. The 2023 NCAA Selection Show is scheduled for Nov. 26 at 3 p.m. (PT) on ESPNU.
 
Last Time Out
The then-No. 9 Oregon volleyball team swept Washington (25-20, 25-22, 25-15) in Seattle in front of an ESPN audience. The Ducks generated a season-high .442 hitting percentage, and coupled with their win at Washington State, the win secured the program’s first sweep of the UW/WSU road trip since 2016.
 
Killing It
Entering the home weekend, Oregon is second in the Pac-12 and 10th in the NCAA with 14.06 kills per set. The Ducks tallied 47 kills in the three-set win at Washington, the team’s sixth of the season with at least 45 kills in a sweep. Collectively, UO is 12th in the NCAA with a .286 hitting percentage.
 
Milestone Watch
Senior setter Hannah Pukis enters Friday’s match with 4,905 career assists, a figure that ranks second on the NCAA active leaders list. The Tacoma, Wash., native is currently seventh in the NCAA at 11.10 assists per set this season. Pukis trails only Savannah Vach of Miami (FL) (4,914 assists) on the active list.
