MATCHES 25-26

Illinois volleyball travels for a pair of matches against #4 Penn State and #8 Purdue this weekend. First serve against the Nittany Lions is slated for 6 p.m. CT on Friday on B1G+. Sunday’s battle against the Boilermakers is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Big Ten Network.

The 2024 campaign marks the 51st season of Illinois volleyball, with the Illini holding an overall record of 1,081-628-7 (.632). Chris Tamas enters his eighth season at the helm for the Orange and Blue, boasting a 148-88 (.627) mark.

LAST TIME OUT

The Fighting Illini swept Ohio State on Saturday night. Averie Hernandez and Ashlyn Philpot led the way with 11 kills while Philpot also added an impressive .667 hitting percentage and six blocks. Brooke Mosher logged a double-double with 37 assists and 14 digs. Christina Martinez Mundo recorded a team-best 15 digs.

REIGN OF TERROR  

Raina Terry continues to impress as the outside hitter competes in her final season in the Orange and Blue. Entering Big Ten play, the Ohio native ranked second in the Big Ten with 210.5 points and 5.13 points per set this year. This season, Terry’s  5.17 points per set put the outside first in the league while her 465.5 total points is good for second place.
