Despite their 1-3 loss to Dar Kulaib in the last game of the first round of the Isa Bin Rashid’s Top Six League, Al Ahli Club and the reigning champions will now start the second round with similar records.
At the end of the first round of the Top Six League, which is being played in a double round robin, Al Ahli Club maintained their lead with 12 points from 4 wins and one loss to remain atop the standings. Title-holders Dar Kulaib are close in second place with the similar performance – 12 points from 4 wins against one loss.
Coming in third place are Muharraq, bagging 9 points from 3 wins against 2 losses, followed by Nabih Saleh with 5 points from 2 wins against 3 losses. Al Nassr are trailing in fifth place with 4 points from one win against 4 losses, with Al Najma on the bottom six with only 3 points from one win against 4 losses.
The second round of the Top Six is due to kick off on Sunday, January 7.
