Columbus, OH – The American Volleyball Coaches Association released its 2021 NAIA AVCA All-Region award winners. Representing Grand View and earning honors were seniors Jenna Wagemester and Alexa Aldrich-Ingram. The AVCA is proud to honor on and off the court success of their member coaches and their student-athletes through many award programs.

Right-side hitter, Aldrich-Ingram, earns all-region honors after a fantastic senior season. The Viking posted 416 kills on the season, averaging 3.18 per set. Aldrich-Ingram also contributed defensively as well as she tallied 126 digs and 76 blocks on the season.

Leading the offense this season, Wagemester earns all-region honors. The senior outside hitter posted a total of 436 kills, averaging 3.63 per set. The Viking also collected a total of 27 blocks on the season.

“This all-region award is a testament to the contribution that Alexa and Jenna made to our team this year,” said Head Coach Tina Carter, “We have always been a program that’s blessed by our balance but these two took turns carrying the offensive load and had great success even when teams knew the ball was going to them. Our region is stacked with top-15 ranked programs so to have these two players on that prestigious list speaks volumes to their impact and offensive numbers.”
