Arizona Completes Sweep of Cactus Classic with 3-0 Victory Over TSU

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Wildcats won the final game of the Cactus Classic, 3-0, over Tennessee State on Sunday to sweep opening weekend.  
 
Arizona’s offense hit .333 and was led by outside hitter Jordan Wilson with 14 kills. Carlie Cisneros and Jaelyn Hodge both tallied 13 kills while the trio of pins hit .340 or higher. Cisneros and Wilson also recorded double-doubles in the match. Cisneros had 13 digs and Wilson had 14 digs.
 
The Wildcats totaled 6.0 blocks and were led by Hodge with three block assists. Kiari Robey and Journey Tucker both had two block assists to help the defense hold Tennessee State to a .070 hitting percentage.
 
Arizona won the first set, 25-22. Hodge led the attack with six kills while Cisneros and Wilson both had five kills. Arizona’s defense was able to hold the Tigers to a .139 clip to help the Cats win the first set.
 
The Cats took a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-19 win in the second set. Arizona hit a match-high .400 in the set and was led by Hodge with seven kills.
