AVC COMPETITION CALENDAR SERVES UP MOUTHWATERING UNDERAGED COMPETITIONS IN 2024

Bangkok, Thailand, December 22, 2023 – AVC has recently launched its 2024 tentative competition calendar and sent the invitation to all AVC affiliated National Federations to, if interested, actively submit their national entry forms ahead of the deadline.

AVC is all but certain to organize a total of eight championships in 2024 including four underage competitions. All Federations have been suggested that they submit their entry forms for the 2024 Asian Underage Championships before the deadline on January 15, 2024, while typically late entries (until January 31, 2024) can be done with US$500 fine.

However, in order to protect the withdrawal of the team before the championships and secure expenses of the organizers in their accommodation deposits of the championships, the partial payment and entry fee of US$10,000/event shall be deposited to the AVC bank account or the organizers account within February 17, 2024 according to the decision of the AVC General Assembly on September 22, 2022 in the Netherlands.

The invitation letter essentials sent to all AVC affiliated National Federations via email are composed of  

1. Four Competition Regulations of 2024 Asian Underage Volleyball Championships

2. National Entry Forms for 2024 Asian Underage Volleyball Championships

3. 2024 Asian Underage Calendar and Tentative competition dates of Asian Club Championships & AVC Challenge Cup

4. 2024 Timeline of Asian Underage Volleyball Championships

5. AVC Uniform and Team equipment advertising application

As stated earlier, the recently-issued AVC tentative competition calendar features eight events. In terms of the 2024 Asian Underaged Volleyball Championships, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand will kick off the AVC’s first event in the 15th Asian Women’s U18 Volleyball Championship from June 16 to 23, 2024. Nakhon Pathom, a city in central Thailand around 50km west of its capital city Bangkok, is no stranger to volleyball competitions as it had already hosted several major competitions including the FIVB World Grand Prix in 2011, Asian Women’s Clubs Championship in 2014, AVC Cup for Men in 2022 and Asian Underaged Championships.

In the second event, China has already confirmed to host the 22nd Asian Women’s U20 Volleyball Championship between July 1 to 8, with the host city yet to be confirmed.

The third event goes to Chinese Taipei when Taipei is set to organize the 22nd Asian Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship during July 20 and 27, while Manama, Bahrain was…
