Babcock Earns ACC Freshman of the Week Honors

PITTSBURGH – Freshman Olivia Babcock has been announced ACC Freshman of the Week, announced by the league Monday afternoon. This is the first conference award Babcock has received in her early career.

Babcock led the team with 11 kills and two blocks against No. 15 Kentucky on Friday night. She helped the Panthers sweep the Wildcats and hit .500 in the outing. Two days later, the freshman recorded a career-high 13 kills and seven blocks in the four set victory over Kentucky for a sweep of the 84 Lumber Classic Series. She hit .458 on the pin and added three digs to her stat line.
