Ljubljana, Slovenia – The Wisconsin volleyball team remains undefeated during the 2023 Foreign Tour, with a three-set sweep over Nova KBM Branik, 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.
The Badgers were in full control from the start, beginning the first set on a 4-0 run that would eventually turn into a 7-2 run. The defense at the net showed no mercy as Carter Booth led the charge with four blocks in the first set alone, and the Badgers combining for eight total blocks in the set.

After cruising to a 25-16 victory in the second set, Wisconsin worked through some adversity trialing through most of the third set. Down six points at one point, 9-16, the Badgers slowly chipped away at the deficit with the help of hot-handed Temi Thomas-Ailara who had six kills in the set, getting within two points of the Nova KBM Branik. Senior MJ Hammill broke the tie at 23-23 after soft dump over the net, getting the Badgers to match point. Wisconsin would go on to win the match in the next point after the opponent served into the net.
Julia Orzol (10) and Thomas-Ailara (12) combined for 22 kills, while Carter Booth chipped in with eight kills and five blocks.
Next Up: Wisconsin will travel to Venice, Italy and enjoy the sites Italy has to offer. After spending a day in Venice, the team will travel to Milan where they are scheduled round out their competition on the tour.
