COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael’s College women’s volleyball sophomore Alexandra Báez Rentas (San Juan, Puerto Rico/New Dimensions) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Sept. 11, landing the accolade for the second straight week.
Báez Rentas averaged 8.12 assists and 3.75 digs per set from her position at setter. In a 3-0 loss to 2021 NCAA Division III Tournament qualifier Middlebury College, which was receiving national votes, on Tuesday, she totaled 17 assists, eight digs, three kills and one ace. Báez Rentas registered 48 assists, 22 digs, four kills, one ace and one block in a 3-2 loss to Assumption University on Saturday.
A sophomore captain, Báez Rentas is eighth in the NE10 in assists per set (7.35) and 11th in digs average (3.47), recording the most digs per set among non-liberos in the league. She adds 24 kills, seven blocks and seven aces.
At 1-8 overall and 0-1 in the NE10, the Purple Knights visit Division I Stonehill College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
