Third Coast College Classic

HOUSTON— The University of Washington Beach Volleyball team wrapped day one of the Third Coast College Classic tournament in Houston against two top ten teams.
The Beach Dawgs battled against No. 4 TCU in the morning, pushing three of the five matches to a decisive third set. Piper Monk-Heidrich and Maggy Rabitsch staged a comeback to win two straight sets, including a 21-10 victory in the second set.
Monk-Heidrich and Rabitsch moved into the No. 1 spot for the afternoon match and took down their duo from No. 6 LSU in two sets. The Huskies battled back and forth against the Tigers by forcing three games into three sets.
The Huskies look to rebound against Houston Christian University at 9 a.m. PST and then the University of Central Arkansas at 1 p.m. PST.
