Cal Lutheran wins 2024 NCAA DIII men’s volleyball championship

Ohio State prevents Penn State volleyball comeback, winning in five sets

In its first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament, Cal Lutheran won the 2024 DIII men’s volleyball national title in straight sets (25-22, 25-23, 25-23) over Vassar in Dubuque, Iowa at the Athletic Wellness Center.

Michael Stahl led the Cal Lutheran with 23 kills in the April 28th championship match helping the Kingsmen earn their first-ever national title.

2024 DIII men’s volleyball championship history

Since the inaugural DIII men’s volleyball tournament in 2012, the championship has been held every year, except for 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Springfield has a record five national titles, winning all but two of the first seven tournaments.
