IRVINE, Calif. – Outside hitter Kevin Lamp tied the school single-match record for aces, leading No. 7 Stanford to a 23-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-23 win at Concordia on Saturday.

Stanford (11-11, 4-6 MPSF) hit .380 for the match – its third-highest output of the season. The Cardinal finished with a season-high 13 aces – six by Lamp and five by opposite Theo Snoey. Concordia (6-16, 0-10 MPSF) was held to a .269 clip.

Lamp’s career-high six aces were the most in a single match by a Cardinal player since 2014, tying for the school record in the rally-scoring era (2001-pres.) with Steven Irvin (Feb. 25, 2013 at Cal Baptist; Feb. 12, 2014 at Pacific) and James Shaw (March 27, 2014 vs. USC).

Outside hitter Will Rottman led the team for a second straight night, totaling 12 kills on .303 hitting, four digs, two assists and two blocks. Snoey added 11 kills on a .400 attack percentage, five digs and a block to go with the five aces.
