The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has recognized 261 SUNY Cortland student-athletes for a total of 267 awards on its 2021-22 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
Athletes earn a spot on the list by recording at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average. The 2021-22 school year is the sixth for the honor roll. Cortland’s 267 honors are one shy of its previous high of 268 from the 2020-21 school year. The Red Dragons also earned 253 honors in 2019-20, 210 in 2018-19, 174 in 2017-18 and 166 in 2016-17.

Men’s Cross Country/Track and Field – 23
Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field – 23
Women’s Ice Hockey – 18
Women’s Swimming and Diving – 17
Women’s Gymnastics – 14
Women’s Lacrosse – 14
Men’s Soccer – 13
Women’s Volleyball – 13
Men’s Ice Hockey – 12
Men’s Swimming and Diving – 12
Baseball – 11
Women’s Basketball – 11
Men’s Lacrosse – 10
Wrestling – 10
Field Hockey – 9
Women’s Soccer – 9
Women’s Golf – 6
Softball – 5
Men’s Basketball – 4
Women’s Tennis – 4
Six student-athletes earned awards in multiple sports (not including cross country/track and field, which are combined for the purpose of this list).Β All of Cortland’s sports are honored, even if they are not sports sponsored by the SUNYAC.
