Cougs return to Bohler for Friday battle with 12th-ranked Oregon

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State volleyball (10-5, 2-2 Pac-12) gets set host its first Pac-12 matches of the season as the Cougars return home for two matches in Bohler Gym starting with 12th-ranked Oregon (10-2, 4-0 Pac-12).  WSU has won four straight conference home openers which includes three top-25 wins and a 3-1 win over an unranked Oregon team to open the spring 2021 season.

WSU split its first two weekends of conference play and Magda Jehlarova was named the conference’s defensive player of the week on Monday after she averaged 2.71 blocks/set and 3.57 kills/set, pacing the Cougars in both categories last weekend.  Jehlarova posted a program-record 11 total blocks as the Cougs collected a 3-0 win at Cal last Friday night and followed up with another eight blocks at Stanford on Sunday.  WSU narrowly missed pushing ninth-ranked Stanford to a fifth set on Sunday before the Cardinal came-from-behind in the fourth to steal the win.
