SEATTLE — Just three weeks remain in the regular season as the Husky volleyball team aims to make a postseason push. The Dawgs are two wins away from the 20-win plateau at 18-6, and with an 8-6 record they are sitting ninth in the loaded Big Ten Conference. This week, the Huskies head down to UCLA on Wednesday night, Nov. 13, before coming back home to host Northwestern this Sunday, Nov. 17.

Both matches will be streamed via Big Ten Plus. First serve at Pauley Pavilion on Wednesday night will be 7 p.m. On Sunday against the Wildcats at Alaska Airlines Arena, the teams hit the court at 2:00 p.m.

Washington is coming off a dramatic week that saw it upset 14th-ranked Minnesota in Minneapolis last Thursday, then come right home to host the first sellout in program history against No. 2 Nebraska, though the Cornhuskers got the win in straight sets. The Dawgs were without its top-two outside hitters in terms of kills per set this season against Nebraska, Kierstyn Barton and Madi Endsley.

The ranked road win over the Gophers was UW’s first since the 2021 season, and it hopes to find more road success in L.A. in the second meeting of the season against the Bruins. UCLA took the first match-up in Seattle in a close four sets.The Bruins are 5-9 in Big Ten play, coming off a 1-1 road weekend, winning at Rutgers but falling at Maryland. In league matches, UCLA is hitting .232 and allowing a .245 opponent mark. Cheridyn Leverette ranks eighth with 4.02 kills per set. Setter Audrey Pak is fourth with 10.90 assists per set. Anna Dodson is one of the most productive middles, averaging 2.41 kills per set and hitting .326 in Big Ten play.

Washington and Northwestern last played as non-conference opponents in 2022, a 3-1 win for the Huskies. The Wildcats are 3-11 in conference play with two wins over Iowa, and one over Maryland. Northwestern features former Husky Sophia Summers, who returned to volleyball after a one-year hiatus. Buse Hazan leads NU with 2.92 kills per set in league play.
