MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Athletics is set to host a variety of fan activations in Madison this spring. With the celebration of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s 175th anniversary in full swing, chances to celebrate with the Badgers are scattered throughout the month of April.
Family Fun Fair – April 7
Wisconsin Athletics will host a Family Fun Fair at the Field House on Saturday, April 7. As part of UW-Madison’s 175th anniversary Community Open House, the FREE event will celebrate Wisconsin Athletics’ community impact and give fans a chance to show their Badger pride. The event, which will run from 1-3 p.m., will feature interactive displays including a live band, inflatables, photo ops, caricature artists, glitter tattoo artists, giveaways and more. The Family Fun Fair will also feature fan-friendly concession pricing and an appearance from Bucky Badger.
Wisconsin Volleyball Spring Match – April 19
Wisconsin volleyball hosts UIC on Friday, April 19 at the Field House for a spring exhibition. After a trip to the NCAA Final Four last fall, the Badgers have begun preparations for the 2024 regular season. UW hosts UIC for its second of three spring matchups in April. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
Crazylegs Classic – April 27
The 42nd-annual Crazylegs Classic is set for Saturday, April 27 in Madison. Wisconsin Athletics is proud to celebrate 175 years of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is dedicating this year’s race to the milestone. The 2024 race will start near Library Mall and will conclude at the Kohl Center. Registration is now open and includes a Crazylegs t-shirt, participant medal, complimentary race photos and the post-race party at the Kohl Center.
Camp Randall Enhancements
With the onset of a new college football postseason format on the horizon, Camp Randall Stadium has been undergoing the installation of a heated playing surface. First-round College Football Playoff games will be played at school host sites beginning in 2024 and Wisconsin will complete the project to ensure a safe playing surface for games that could be played into December.
Along with the new turf playing surface, Camp Randall will also see improvements to its videoboard displays for the 2024 season. Enhancements to the north videoboard and LED ribbon boards around the stadium will continue to improve the fan…
