LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Fourth-ranked Louisville swept Duke, 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-22), Friday evening in Louisville, Ky.
How it Happened
- Duke was led by Rachel Richardson with 12 kills, 10 digs and two blocks in her all-around performance. Setter Devon Chang dished 19 assists while libero Nikki Underwood led the team with 11 digs. Rylie Kadel paced the defensive unit at the net with four blocks while Chang, Underwood and Sydney Yap each tallied an ace.
- Louisville’s high-powered offense was on display early with a .529 hitting percentage in the first set while limiting the Blue Devils to a negative clip.
- Leading 1-0, the Cardinals held a slight 20-14 advantage in the second set as the Blue Devils capitalized on Louisville’s errors. Three Blue Devils tallied solo blocks as Kadel registered three total blocks to help limit Louisville to its lowest offensive output of the match.
- Duke saw its best set with a .161 hitting percentage as Taylor Atkinson came off the bench to tally four kills and post a .333 clip.
