Fighting Illini Volleyball Hosts DePaul for Spring Match


CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois volleyball welcomes DePaul for a match at Huff Hall on Friday, with first serve slated for 5:30 p.m.

The Fighting Illini went 16-14 last season with an 11-9 mark in Big Ten play. The team returns AVCA All-Region and All-Big Ten First Team honoree Raina Terry for her final season in 2024. Terry closed out her senior campaign leading the Big Ten with 618 total points and finishing second with 539 total kills. Defensively, Carolina Barnes is back in the libero jersey for her senior season. The Naperville, Ill., native logged a squad-best 331 digs last year for a 3.34 digs-per-set average

DePaul went 18-15 in 2023, including a 9-9 mark against BIG EAST foes. Jill Pressly led the way offensively for the Blue Demons, tallying 516 kills last season, good for an average of 4.96 per set. Rachel Krasowski paced the squad with 553 digs last season, while freshman Meghan Scholz recorded a team-high 93 blocks last year.

Fans are encouraged to park in the garage on the corner of Fourth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Lots E2 and E18 will also be available after 5 p.m. CT. All State Farm Center quadrants will be paid or permit parking only.
