HISTORY VS. VIRGINIA TECH
• This will be the 15th meeting between the Irish and the Hokies with Notre Dame leading the overall series 11-3.
• Notre Dame has won the last eight matchups against Virginia Tech as they have been on a winning streak since 2016. The last Hokie win against the Irish was Nov. 6, 2015 in three sets in Purcell Pavilion (25-27, 20-25, 20-25).
• This is the second matchup against Virginia Tech this season as the Irish defeated the Hokies in four (25-21, 20-25, 25-20, 25-22) at Purcell Pavilion on Oct. 16, 2022. The Irish were led by Paris Thompson and Kaylyn Winkler who finished with 16 and 12 kills, respectively. Winkler also chipped in four blocks, followed by Lauren Tarnoff and Charity McDowell who finished with three blocks apiece in the first match up.
