Five Macs Earn CVC All-Academic Team Recognition


IMMACULATA, Pa. – Five Immaculata men’s volleyball student-athletes were among the 64 named to the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Academic All-Conference team following the 2022 season. John Carter, Jack Debes, Matthew Lynn, Thomas Pierce, and Bryce Wiltbank represented the Mighty Macs on the Academic All-Conference team.
 
Carter and Debes earned Academic All-Conference honors for the second straight year while Wiltbank, a senior, earned recognition for the third straight year.
 
In order to be eligible for the team players must carry a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 for the Academic Year.
 
Carter, a Nursing major, completed his third season with the Macs, serving as the team libero, accruing 114 digs and 12 assists on the season.
 
Debes, a Criminology major, finished his second campaign with the Mighty Macs, earning 41 kills and 23 digs overall.
 
Lynn just completed his senior season. A Cybersecurity and Data Analytics major, Lynn recorded 24 kills and 12 digs on the year.
 
Pierce finished his first season with the Mighty Macs’ men’s volleyball team, earning seven kills and one service ace on the season.
 
Wiltbank, an Accounting major, rounds out the selections for the Macs following his senior season. Wiltbank earned 49 kills and 31 digs on the year for the Mighty Macs.
