Five Members of Women’s Volleyball Named to All-MAAC Academic Team


EDISON, NJ – Five members of the Merrimack women’s volleyball team have been named to the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference Volleyball All-Academic Team as announced by the league office on Wednesday morning.
 
To earn All Academic Conference Honors, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
 

The members being recognized are Amanda Gately – a junior Business Administration major, Ella Gizmunt – a sophomore Nursing major, Marissa Kobelski – a sophomore Business Administration major, Lauryn Mattiucci – a senior Exercise Science major, and Maalese Wallace – a senior Psychology major.

The five, along with the rest of the women’s volleyball team gear up for the MAAC Volleyball Championships on Thursday. Merrimack is set to battle #6 Niagara in the first round, with game time scheduled for 7 PM.
