Florida Volleyball Ranks No. 24 in Newest AVCA/TARAFLEX Top-25 Poll


The Gators have been ranked inside the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association Top-25 poll for 526 consecutive weeks.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After tallying two road sweeps last week, the Florida volleyball team ranks No. 24 in the newest 2024 Division I women’s volleyball poll, released by the organization on Monday. 

The Gators took down Texas A&M in three sets (25-21, 25-20, 25-20) on Oct. 18 before defeating LSU 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-17) on Oct. 20. Florida averaged a .126 opponent hitting percentage after holding the Aggies to a .137 hitting clip and the Tigers to .111.

Of their remaining 10 regular-season matches, Florida is set to face two opponents that are either ranked or receiving votes in the current poll. The Gators have already played against four teams who are mentioned in Monday’s poll: No. 7 Texas, No. 14 Kentucky, No. 17 Georgia Tech and No. 19 Florida State.
