Florida Volleyball Sits No. 15 in Newest AVCA/TARAFLEX Rankings

The Gators move up one spot from last week’s AVCA’s Division I women’s volleyball poll.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After grabbing their first ranked win of the season, the Florida volleyball team moves to No. 15 in the newest 2024 Division I women’s volleyball poll, released by the organization on Monday.

The Gators are currently on a 4-0-win streak after closing out the last week of nonconference play with three home wins against No. 18 Florida State (3-2), North Texas (3-0) and Buffalo (3-0).

Of their remaining 17 regular-season matches, Florida is set to face five opponents that are either ranked or receiving votes in the current poll, including two back-to-back home matches against top-15 opponents – Kentucky and Texas on Sept. 29th and Oct. 6th.

Florida kicks off SEC play with two matches this week, traveling to Norman, Oklahoma on Thursday, Sept. 26 to face the unranked Sooners before returning home to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on Sunday for a top-15 matchup against the No. 12 Kentucky Wildcats.
