Florida Volleyball Slides to No. 18 in Newest AVCA/TARAFLEX Rankings


Florida has been ranked in AVCA’s top 25 for 523 consecutive weeks.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Following the first week of SEC play, the Florida volleyball team sits No. 18 in the newest 2024 Division I women’s volleyball poll, released by the organization on Monday. 

The Gators finished 1-1 last week, beating Oklahoma in five sets (25-21,19-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-13) on Sept. 26 to tally their 34th-consective Conference opener win before falling to No. 12 Kentucky (19-25, 20-25, 25-20, 28-30) this past Sunday.

Of their remaining 15 regular-season matches, Florida is set to face four opponents that are either ranked or receiving votes in the current poll, including the Gators home matchup against No. 7 Texas this Sunday.

Fans can purchase tickets on FloridaGators.com. for Sunday’s matchup vs. the defending NCAA Champions. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. at Exactech Arena inside the Stephen C. O’Connell Center and can be watched on ESPN as well as listened to on 98.1FM/850AM. Additionally, those not in attendance can follow @GatorsVB on socials for match updates or via live stats.
