TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Stillman College is offering free admission to its first two women’s volleyball matches on Sept. 1 and Sept. 13 in Birthright Alumni Hall. This year marks the return of the Stillman women’s volleyball program, which was disbanded following the 2015 season.
On Thursday, Sept. 1, the Tigers will host Oakwood University for its season opener at 6 p.m. All community, youth, middle school or high school volleyball players are encouraged to attend and wear their uniform or warm up tops.Â
Tuesday, Sept. 13 will be Stillman’s home conference opener, as Blue Mountain College comes to town for a 6 p.m. Southern States Athletic Conference match. Stillman is inviting all community first responders to attend this match and be recognized for their service to the community.
Stillman will play a 21-match regular season schedule in 2022, including 10 home matches. Following Sept. 13, all matches will be played on Friday or Saturday. Admission for matches beginning Sept. 16 will be $7. Stillman students with a green or orange sticker on their student ID will be admitted free as part of their paid athletics fee.
