Bangkok, Thailand, July 27, 2024 – After five days of learning theoretically and practically, the FIVB Coaches Course Level 2 between July 23 and 27 at the FIVB Development Center in Thailand finally reached a fruitful conclusion on Saturday.
The course, conducted by FIVB Course Instructor Mr Atsushi Andre Katoh from Japan, saw a total of 30 dedicated candidates from 11 countries consisting of Hong Kong China, Malaysia, China, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Macao China, Bangladesh, Nepal and Thailand successfully passing and being officially certified as Level 2 coaches.
The course not only presented a fantastic opportunity for coaches to enhance their knowledge and competence and share their valuable experience on the latest trends in the modern game, but they could also benefit immensely from the advanced training and knowledge shared by Mr Katoh and they were believed to bring for further developing volleyball in their respective federations.
FIVB Course Instructor Mr Katoh expressed his satisfaction with the outcomes of the course, citing that he was very proud of the commitment and hard work demonstrated by all participants.
Thailand Volleyball Association President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang presented certificates to each of course attendants. The certification of new Level 2 coaches could prove a significant achievement of those attending and a testament to coaches’ efforts to elevate the standard of coaching in the near future.
In his speech during the certificate presentation and closing ceremony on Saturday, which was also attended by Mr Issara Riddhisinha, General Manager of the FIVB Development Centre in Thailand and senior TVA referee Mr Jirasak Pumduang, Mr Somporn extended his heartfelt congratulations to all candidates who successfully completed the course and said, “I would like to congratulate all attendants on your success in this course and I strongly believe that each of you will bring knowledge obtained from this course to help develop volleyball in your country.
“More importantly, I’m convinced that after this course, each of you will play a crucial role win the growth and success of volleyball. Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to express gratitude to FIVB Course Instructor Mr Atsushi Andre Katoh for his invaluable contribution and dedication to the instruction in this course.
