WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University women’s volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory over Wilson College on Wednesday evening in the Field House before a boisterous crowd. The Bison made quick work of the overmatched Phoenix squad as GU won in straight sets 25-12, 25-11, 25-6.
Gallaudet (2-3) served up a season best 20 aces as four different Bison recorded three or more aces. Freshman Gisella Visco (Riverside, Calif.) recorded a match-high seven service aces while junior Emma Giuntoli (Austin, Texas) tallied four aces and junior Leila Sicoli (Austin, Texas) and freshman Nicole Hicks (Corona, Calif.) had three each.
Junior Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.) led the Bison with 11 kills on 17 swings (.647 percentage). Freshman Citrine Lummer (Frederick, Md.) and junior Emily Wright (Penn Valley, Calif.) tallied eight and seven kills, respectively. Giuntoli passed out 29 assists and Sicoli made 12 digs.
Wilson (0-4) was paced by Deah Menedis upfront with four kills while Niki Schussler made a team best seven digs.

UP NEXT
GU will travel to Eastern University this weekend for three non-conference matches. The Bison begin the weekend against Eastern (2-2) on Friday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m.
