Gator Volleyball Adds Isabel Martin to 2024 Roster


GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida volleyball program welcomes outside hitter Isabel Martin to the 2024 squad. The Redshirt Senior comes to the Gators after she garnered the Mountain West Player of the Year award for the second-consecutive year.

We are thrilled Isi will join our team in January,” Florida Head Coach Mary Wise said. “Her game and experience will be such a great addition to our program.”

Martin returns to the sunshine state after spending her last three seasons (2021-23) at UNLV. The Mauerstetten, Bavaria native played her first two seasons (2019-20) at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida.

Martin is now one of six newcomers for the 2024 season. Five signed with Florida during the November signing period – Jaela Auguste, Lauren Harden, Taylor Parks, Alec Rothe and Ella Vogel.

  • Played in 32 matches and 119 total sets
  • Finished second in the Pacific West Conference in kills (514), kills per set (4.32) and points with 580.5
  • Named MW All-Conference Team
  • Named MW Offensive Player of the Week on two occasions (Sept. 18 and Nov. 13)
  • Martin accumulated a total of 514 kills, 244 digs, 38 aces, 54 total blocks and 580.5 points scored.

2022

  • Named MW Player of the Year
  • Named AVCA All-America Honorable Mention
  • Named AVCA Pacific South All-Region
  • Named All-MW First Team
  • Named MW All-Tournament Team
  • Named MW Offensive Player of the Week on two occasions (Oct. 31 and Nov. 7)
  • Ranked 66th in the nation for kills per set with 3.89
  • Finished second in the conference for both kills per set with 3.89 and in points per set with 4.40
  • Played in 31 matches and 112 total sets
  • Collected 10 double-doubles this season, the most notable being 15 kills and 25 digs at Air Force (Oct. 8)
  • Recorded 27 double-figure kill matches, which included a career-high 21 vs. Wichita State (Sept. 8)
  • Notched 12 matches with a .300 or better hitting efficiency, including a .542 effort against Boise State (Oct. 15)
  • Defensively, she had at least 10 or more digs in 13 outings, including a career-high 25 at Air Force (Oct. 8)
  • Martin accumulated a total of 435 kills, 271 digs, 21 aces, 62 total blocks and 492.5…
