EUGENE, Ore. – With an eye on earning a spot on the final 12-player team, incoming freshmen Noemie Glover and Becca Kelley are two of 19 athletes named to the U.S. Girls U19 World Championship roster. The group will train together over the next eight days (July 21-29) at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

Ultimately, twelve athletes from the roster will be chosen to compete at the 2023 FIVB U19 Girls World Championship (Aug. 1-11) in Osijek, Croatia and Szeged, Hungary.

Glover and Kelley are also two of the five newcomers to the U19 National Team roster.

In the final season of her prep career, Glover helped Cathedral Catholic High School to an undefeated 42-0 record and the California Open Division state title. The Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., native had 13 kills while hitting .550 to go along with five blocks in the final.

Kelley was an all-state performer for Rockwall (Texas) High School where she amassed over 500 kills in her standout senior season. She led Rockwall to the 6A regional semifinal. Kelley put down 20 or more kills in 13 matches last year including a 40-kill performance in late September.
